Oriental Numismatic Society To Hold Mudra Utsav 2015 In Kolkata Today

The Oriental Numismatic Society of Kolkata is holding the Mudra Utsav 2015 today at 12 noon. The event will witness talks on Gupta coins, Tripura coins, and Mughal mints by numismatists. The Utsav is dedicated to the noted numismatist and pioneer in the field of Indian numismatics, Dr. Parmeshwari Lal Gupta. Various speakers are posed to deliver lectures on the coins of Rama Gupta, a numismatic study of Kaccha or Samudragupta, a unique coin belonging to Ratna Manikya of Tripura, controversies in the minting of coins from Tripura, and some notes on the mint towns of Mughal Deccan.The lectures will be held today, December 26 2015, at Haldiram Banquets in Kolkata at 12 noon.
